Smartphones - worth it?

For 3 years I've been totally content with my good old Sony Ericsson Cellphone, but it looks like being able to write messages and phone people isn't enough anymore -nowadays you obviously have to be able to be online on Facebook 24/7, access the Internet whenever you want to and play stupid Mini-Games (like Angry Birds or some of that bullsh*t) apart from having half a million apps running all the time.

Be unique - buy what everyone else has!

So I just thought to myself, "have to stay modern" and did a little research on how much I'd have to pay for being able to keep up with the trend - and holy Cow are people making a sh*tload of money with this business!
Well, I'm not doing a lot of money with my current job, but it can't be possible that i'd have to pay more than 3 months of salary to own a god d*mn working Smartphone?!
I think that especially in times like these when you can be sure that a new, high-end Gaming Computer will be outdated within a few months it's totally pointless to waste so much hard-earned cash just for having a little gadget that actually does nothing more than combining a Cellphone, a (bad) computer and a Gameboy, all of which I already have.
Of course, if I had rich parents I wouldnt write about this stuff like this, but seriously, in my opinion, I don't see any reason why I should pay for a little piece of plastic with an apple symbol on its back.
And Steve Jobs can go scr*w himself, that guy has more Money than most countries in Africa, and he's not the only Person in the world with an illness.

Just stay with your clumpy old piece of crap cellphone and don't give a sh*t about what people expect you to do. Trust me, in the end, no one will care, and if they do, they won't be worth your company.
Stay classy.

  9. I have an iPod touch and a lame keyboard phone, but I love being able to surf the interwebs on my iPod. The only thing stopping me from smartphones is that horrible data-package, I'd be broke if I tried to pay for that monthly!

  12. Stay classy indeed!
I have a very old phone, that has a cracked screen, all it can do is recieve and send texts, and, when I top it up, make calls lol. That's all I need a phone for, that's all a phone should be for. Like you said, if I want a game boy, I'll buy a game boy.
